The loneliness that lives inside a full life

There are soft, quiet moments, where something in me goes very still and very far away. I wonder if you know that feeling too? We call it loneliness, but I don’t think that word quite holds it. Because this isn’t the loneliness of an empty house or a Friday night alone. This is something more tender and more strange, the loneliness of standing in the middle of your own beautiful life and not quite being able to land in it.

The journey of a caterpillar to a butterfly

When we have had enough and the fruit of life no longer satisfies us, we naturally turn inward, we seek solitude and rest. We ask questions, we look for answers, and we search for meaning. until we find something. If we reach for another thing to avoid the dark, something to pacify us, like drugs, work, sex, screens, or alcohol, we will keep reaching for it, for the dopamine hit. Spiritual growth is what we need on the journey.
