It states that we must have our primal and basic needs met before we can satisfy our higher social, intellectual, and spiritual needs. If we try, which we do, we can end up with longer-term psychological problems such as anxiety, depression and chronic illness.

Self expression is either moving, speaking, or creativity. When we express, we allow our life force energy to move us into taking action. I take expressive action by writing, speaking, taking photos and dancing.

I had a great session with my EMPR Method mentor today, it was all about identity. So the main take away I had from the session was “What is the mask you are wearing?”. The mask to cover up my shame and the things that I don’t want people to see. Oooo it’s a doozy of a question right? This is the thing that is holding you back from truly moving forward. Your mask holds the key to your block. So ask yourself; What is my mask?
