The Dance of Balance & Returning to Your Centre
Hey lovely,
Balance isn’t something you achieve once and hold onto forever, it’s a dance. A constant, fluid movement between action and rest, giving and receiving, doing and being. The dance of balance, and returning to your centre.
Sometimes it looks like doing too much and forgetting to pause. Other times, it’s resting so deeply that momentum feels out of reach. And often, it’s more subtle, showing up in different areas of your life all at once: in your body, your mind, your spirit, your work, your relationships, and your play.
So how do you know when you’re out of balance, and how do you gently return to yourself? One way is to tune into your energy centres, your chakras, which offer powerful insight into where you may be holding tension, resistance, or disconnection.
Signs You May Be Out of Balance
- Crown Chakra — Feeling overly attached to people, outcomes, or rigid ideas
- Third Eye Chakra — Experiencing confusion or disillusionment, struggling to trust your perception
- Throat Chakra — Speaking untruths, holding back your voice, or over-expressing without awareness
- Heart Chakra — Holding onto past hurt, anger, or unresolved grief
- Solar Plexus Chakra — Feeling depleted, powerless, or lacking direction
- Sacral Chakra — Carrying shame or guilt, disconnected from pleasure or emotion
- Root Chakra — Living in fear, feeling unsafe, unstable, or ungrounded
Signs You Are Moving Back Into Balance
When your energy begins to realign, you may notice a soft but powerful shift.
- Root Chakra — A grounded, steady sense of safety and self
- Sacral Chakra — A healthy relationship with pleasure, creativity, and emotions
- Solar Plexus Chakra — Feeling energised, confident, and connected to your personal power
- Heart Chakra — Open to love, compassion, and forgiveness
- Throat Chakra — Expressing yourself freely and truthfully
- Third Eye Chakra — Seeing clearly, trusting your intuition and inner guidance
- Crown Chakra — Feeling connected to something greater, with a quiet sense of knowing
Balance doesn’t mean perfection. It means awareness. It means noticing when something feels off, and choosing, gently, compassionately, to return to yourself.
Come back to your breath. Come back to your body. Come back to what feels true. That’s where your balance lives.
