Guided or Ghosted? Staying Grounded in Your Spiritual Practice This Beltane.

As the earth warms and blossoms burst open, we’re invited into a season of passion, connection, and creation. Beltane, the ancient Celtic festival of fertility and fire celebrates life in full bloom. It’s a time when energy runs high, intuition sparks, and the veil between the worlds grows thin in a different way: not toward death and descent, but toward vitality and renewal.

But with this rising energy, there’s an important question to ask:

Are we being guided by spirit… or ghosted by our own unhealed fears?

As our energy expands, so does our sensitivity. For many women doing deep healing work, this can feel both exhilarating and overwhelming. We open to intuition, creativity, and spirit, but without grounding, it’s easy to float off into the mental or emotional realms, mistaking anxiety for intuition or wishful thinking for guidance.

The mind is clever. It can mimic divine messages, recycle old stories, or replay fear disguised as “signs.” This is why grounding, especially during a season of high energy, is sacred. True guidance comes through the body and heart, not through panic or pressure.

🌿 What It Means to Be Grounded

Being grounded doesn’t mean you’re heavy or uninspired, it means you’re anchored enough to safely hold your power.

You’re grounded when you:

Feel connected to your body and breath.

Experience clarity rather than urgency.

Can sense energy moving without feeling consumed by it.

Make intuitive choices from calm awareness rather than fear or fantasy.

When ungrounded, you might:

Feel “floaty,” anxious, or overstimulated.

Chase constant signs or validation.

Struggle to focus, rest, or make decisions.

Confuse intuitive hits with emotional triggers.

Guided or Fearful? How to Tell the Difference

True guidance is loving, peaceful, and empowering, even when it asks you to stretch.

Fear-based thoughts feel tight, confusing, or judgmental. They drain your energy instead of expanding it.

Before you act on a message or impulse, pause and breathe into your belly.

Ask yourself:

“Does this feel like expansion or contraction?”

“Is this message kind, clear, and steady, or urgent and fearful?”

Your body always tells the truth. Spirit communicates through peace, not pressure.

🌺 Grounding Practices for Beltane Energy

Root into pleasure. Eat slowly, move your body, dance, and connect with your senses. Embodiment is sacred.

Spend time in nature. Feel the sun, touch flowers, lie on the grass, let the earth remind you that you belong here.

Tend your inner fire. Light a candle with intention. Let its flame remind you of your power and presence.

Journal your intuitive messages. Writing anchors the spiritual into the physical.

Create ritual with others. Share circle, laughter, or song. Beltane is about connection and union, within and without.

Healing Trauma Through Embodiment

Much of my work with women focuses on healing trauma and reclaiming the body as a safe place to live again. Trauma often pulls us out of the body and into the mind, where we try to think or control our way through life. But true healing, and true spiritual guidance, can only flow through an embodied vessel.

When we feel safe enough to inhabit ourselves, our intuition becomes clearer. Our nervous system relaxes. Our spiritual experiences integrate.

Healing trauma and grounding your energy doesn’t disconnect you from spirit; it deepens your connection. You become a channel of love, not a storm of fear.
